The PlazaCorp team has over 50 years of real estate industry experience and the knowledge, skills and capacities to provide specialized services to each project we endeavor upon.



Jeff Nicholson- President

Jeff Nicholson is the Founder/President, PlazaCorp Realty Advisors, Inc.  He has been involved in Commercial Development for more than 30 years completing more than 90 projects in Ontario, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Florida.  Mr. Nicholson previously owned Capital Construction Company, First Federal Group, and Canadian Commercial Sign Corporation, all located in Ontario, Canada.

 

In addition to real estate activities, Mr. Nicholson also has ownership in various non-development entities, including Enterprise Food Services (which owns and operates 20 national quick serve restaurant franchises in Michigan and Oklahoma) and the United Kennel Club (which was established in 1898 and is the largest all-breed performance-dog registry in the world).

Mark Chilcott- Vice President
As a PlazaCorp Principal and Vice President, Mark is responsible for all functions of the company. His development focus is project/site selection, acquisition and project management. Prior to joining PlazaCorp, he owned a private consulting firm serving the real estate development community as well as the public sector.

Mark has over a decade of corporate real estate experience including 8 years with 7-Eleven Food Stores and Imperial Oil where he was responsible for new store development, disposition and environmental management. He graduated from Penn State University in 1986.

Lori Brouse- Controller
Lori has been a part of the PlazaCorp team since 1996. As the PlazaCorp Controller, she is responsible for monitoring and tracking all financial transactions and budgets, assisting in property and project financing, asset management, and company systems management.

Dorothy Robinett- Project Manager

Dorothy joined the PlazaCorp team in 2006. As Project Manager, she works to research acquisition opportunities, assist with purchase documents, and perform due diligence to take an opportunity from Purchase Agreement through closing, development, and into a valid conforming use. Dorothy is also responsible for special projects related to Receivership Reports , Condominium Association Reports (annually), review of Property Tax Assessment changes (annual), and similar special projects.

Since October 2008, Dorothy has also been in the Lease Administration role. As Lease Administrator, she is responsible for tenant correspondence, collections, and administration of lease documentation.

 

Dorothy is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University.

Jon Jurhs- Leasing and Acquisitions Representative

Further, Jon is focused on the acquisition and development of high-quality, well located retail, neighborhood, anchored, and power strip center nationwide.

Jon has 6 years experience in the Leasing and Marketing of high quality commercial Real Estate with PlazaCorp Realty Advisors and rejoins the team to focus on eliminating vacancy and acquiring high-quality real estate assets.  Jon has extensive prior experience in sales, marketing, and business development in networking technology (Cisco Systems) and food technology (All Natural Freshness).  Jon graduated from the University of Michigan in 1997.
Jay Eichstaedt- Leasing Representative

Jay Eichstaedt joined the PlazaCorp team in 2010 and is responsible for the leasing of PlazaCorp managed properties including retail strip centers, community centers, and power center locations in several states. In addition to leasing, Jay is also responsible for the sale of outlot parcels and other vacant land. Jay and his team plan and implement the marketing efforts for the aforementioned properties.

 

Before coming to PlazaCorp, Jay worked at the City of Kalamazoo as a GIS Analyst. He has a B.A. in Urban Studies from the College of Wooster, and a Masters from Western Michigan University in Geography-Geographic Information Systems/Urban Planning.

Lesley Watts- Administration and Marketing Specialist
Lesley Watts joined the PlazaCorp team in 2010 as the Marketing and Administration Specialist. In charge of developing and maintaining all advertising and marketing materials, the company website, social networking activities and other marketing research and special activities.  She also maintains all administrative functions.

Lesley previously worked at the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce as the Membership Services Coordinator and Festival Manager. She has a B.A. in Political Science and Communications from Western Michigan University.
